What is it?
A one-hour fitness bootcamp workout for every fitness level
Who should attend?
Anyone who wants a fat burning workout that will raise money for breast cancer research
How much does it cost?
$20 per person. Checks can be made out to UT SOUTHWESTERN MEDICAL.
How much will be donated?
100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to UT Southwestern Medical Center to support breast cancer research being done there. Dallas County Boot Camp is currently working with Dr. Roshni Rao from UT Southwestern Medical Center on a clinical trial to study the benefits of a supervised exercise program in patients undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. Dr. Rao is a surgical oncologist in the Simmons Cancer Center who specializes in breast cancer. Through this clinical trial, she studies whether exercise drives down specific molecules in the body that make tumors more aggressive. Dallas County Boot Camp is currently serving as the official trainer for this study.
What should I bring?
An exercise mat, dumbbells, a water bottle and tons of energy!
